Recently the Lord reminded me that my theme for this year is "Fearless."
It's amazing how easy it is to slide into habits of insecurity, anxiety and fear.
I want my life to be characterized by a supernatural confidence in God that fills me with holy boldness and courage!
...that's what I desire, but I'm still a work in progress.
Praise God for His faithfulness to continue the work He has begun in us (Phil. 1:6)!
The Lord has been encouraging me through a book called Uprising by Erwin Raphael McManus. I want to share a few quotes from his chapter on courage. This chapter was thought-provoking and inspiring for me.
"To follow Jesus Christ is to choose to live in His adventure. How in the world could you ever imagine a life of faith that does not require risk? Faith and risk are inseparable....a life of faith is a life of courage."
"We are seldom afraid when our opposition is smaller than us...Whenever God calls us to something, it inspires not only faith, but also fear. God always summons us to something bigger than ourselves."
"God calls you to dream great dreams and to have the courage to live them. Great dreams require great courage."

Ah Sovereign Lord,
As natural cowards, we cry out to you and ask you to continue your supernatural work in us:
Deliver us from fears!
Build our faith!
Empower us to live courageously!
That we might see your great dreams for us fulfilled and that the world might see how glorious you are.

Oh, ser Valiente…
Hace poco el Señor me recordó que mi tema para este año es “Sin temor.”
Es increíble lo fácil que es caer en hábitos de inseguridad, ansiedad y temor.
¡Quiero que mi vida se caracterice por una confianza sobrenatural en Dios que me llene de santa audacia y valentía!
… Eso es lo que deseo, pero soy todavía una obra en progreso.
¡Alabado sea Dios por Su fidelidad en continuar la obra que ha comenzado en nosotros (Fi. 1:6)!
El Señor me ha estado dando ánimo a través de un libro titulado Uprising (Levantamiento) por Erwin Raphael McManus. Quiero compartir algunas citas de su capítulo sobre la valentía. Este capítulo fue inspirador y me hizo pensar.
“Seguir a Jesucristo es elegir vivir en Su aventura. ¿Cómo en el mundo podrías imaginar una vida de fe que no requiere de riesgo? La fe y el riesgo son inseparables… una vida de fe es una vida de valentía.”
“Pocas veces nos asustamos cuando nuestra oposición es más pequeña que nosotros… Cuando Dios nos llama a algo, nos inspira no sólo fe, sino también miedo. Dios siempre nos llama a algo más grande que nosotros mismos.”

Como cobardes naturales, clamamos a ti y te pedimos que continúes tu obra sobrenatural en nosotros:
¡Líbranos de temores!
¡Construye nuestra fe!
¡Danos poder para vivir con valentía!
Que podamos ver cumplidos tus grandes sueños para nosotros y que el mundo pueda ver cuán glorioso eres.
