What Made Him Different? Part 3 (¿Qué lo hizo diferente? Parte 3)

There are so many wonderful characteristics about Jesus that we can meditate on! I've enjoyed this series of posts, and I'd like to conclude it with two more qualities of Jesus that stood out to me this week.

5) Composure
Jesus was never flustered. He never lost His temper (even when chasing merchants out of the temple He did it with planning and purpose).
He was always completely in control of His emotions, actions and words.
Imagine what that was like for Jesus' brothers. They undoubtedly teased Him and gave Him a hard time, yet He never retaliated with angry words or threats. Even when He was on trial before the high priest and then before Pilate, Jesus remained calm and composed.
What beautiful evidence that Jesus was no ordinary man!

6) Confidence
In everything Jesus said and did, He exuded confidence.
He never wavered in His teachings or beliefs. He never doubted God in any way. He always knew exactly what God's will was for Him, and He did it perfectly.
When Jesus stood before Lazarus' tomb, He thanked God for hearing His prayer, fully confident that in the next moment Lazarus would be raised to life!
Jesus lived confidently, yet without pride. How astounding this must have been to those around Him!

I hope you've enjoyed these thoughts about Jesus. There's no end to what we can learn about Him. As the Apostle John wrote,
"Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written."-John 21:25
What a wonderful Savior we have!
Let us continually fix our eyes on Jesus, fill our thoughts with Him, and never cease to praise His name!

¿Qué lo hizo diferente? Parte 3
